REGINA GERTRUDE GALLANT (nee OLSON) August 13, 1914 - March 11, 2012 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, aunt, sister-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Regina on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the age of 97 years. Left to mourn Regina's passing are her children: Eleanor, Louise, Raymond (Eileen), and Ernest (Judith); sister-in-law Irene Olson; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren: Jeff Chambers (Debra), Karen Eso, Naomi Gallant, Nicole MacDonald (Chris), and Dana Gallant (Scott); as well as six great-grandchildren: Jake, Julia, Michael, Mira, Hannah, and Aidan. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 40 years of marriage, Eugene; brothers John, Henry, Richard, Ole, Jenz, and Knut; sisters Mary, and Hannah, as well as son-in-law Lawrence Starr. Mom was a private person who above all valued her family. She was very hard working, always early to rise to get the day started. She had a wonderful sense of humour and could make anybody laugh. In compliance with Mom's wishes there will not be a Funeral Service, but rather a private family gathering at her gravesite. A special thank you goes out to Joyce Olsen and Linda Olson for their loving and compassionate care given to Mom in her final years. Your support is greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations in Regina's memory may be made to Gethsamane Lutheran Church, Box 14, Inwood, Manitoba. R0C 1P0. You will be missed, Mom.
