Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH ANTHONY LUKAS Joe was born in Winnipeg on November 1, 1928 and passed away at his home in Victoria, BC, on September 27, 2011. After marrying his wife, June, the young couple moved to Victoria where they raised their three sons - John (Cathy); Bob (Donna) and Gord (Lynda). Joe and June loved camping and Joe loved to hunt and fish with his sons. Joe was predeceased by his parents Mary (May) and John Lukasiewicz, and his beloved wife June in 1994. His dear sister Bernice (Bunny) passed away a short 42 days later. He is survived by his sons and their families; Bernice's family; as well as many beloved relatives and friends. BERNICE ELIZABETH KOSTIUK Bunny was born in Winnipeg on August 24, 1927, and passed away at her home in Saskatoon, SK, on November 8, 2011. After marrying her husband Bill, the couple and their two young children moved to Saskatoon, SK. Bunny was involved in bowling, curling and golfing with Bill. She was artistic, an excellent seamstress and loved gardening. She was a great chef who hosted many dinners for friends and family. Bunny was predeceased by her parents May and John Lukasiewicz; her loving husband of 52 years, Bill; her beloved brother Joe Lukas; as well as many beloved relatives from both Bunny and Bill's families. She is dearly loved and missed by her children Rick (Elaine Cechanowicz) and Dyanne (Gordon Bohrson); grandchildren Rick Kostiuk (Jennifer Harby); Andrew Kostiuk (Megan Dutton); Jessica Bohrson; Russell Bohrson; her great-granddaughter Alexis Bohrson, as well as many cherished relatives and friends. Bunny and Joe spent their younger years growing up with an extended family in a house on Manitoba Avenue in the North End of Winnipeg. In their teens they moved with their parents to their new home on Eugenie Street in Norwood. Joe and Bunny's parents, along with many relatives and friends, built cottages at Grand Beach where the family spent summers with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. It was a wonderful time. The tradition continues.
