Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Gary left us far too soon but I am comforted that in his final days he was surronded by the people and things that mattered most to him: -The genuine loving heart of a very special, brave 9 year old boy that insisted on being by his side in the hospital, unfettered & unafraid of tubes or machines. -The joy of the companionship & support of sincere friends where he felt unconditionally accepted & appreciated & where he truly could be himself. -The sense of peace he derived from quietly observing the strength and success of a daughter & knowing that the time & attention he gave made a difference to her. Gary was my husband, my best friend, my confidante and his love transformed my life. I will love and miss you forever, Gar. - Posted by: Lauren Smith (wife) on: Mar 23, 2012

  • Gary touched the hearts of those that knew him, in a quiet gentle way. The true test of life is the hearts you touch, not material things you amass. Gary passed this test with flying colours. He will be truly missed. - Posted by: Bev McNeil (Friend) on: Mar 19, 2012

  • I worked with Gary in 2 departments at MTS, first at the Corydon Office - later in downtown. I enjoyed Gary's company, myself and Jerry Popiel used to walk with him sometimes at noon. He was a talented and diligent worker and I recall he was always pleasant and helpful to all. I wish and pray for peace and comfort to family and friends who I'm sure will miss him very much. Yes, he was truly generous and kind. - Posted by: JOHN PENNER (Fellow Worker at MTS/Allstream) on: Mar 19, 2012
