SAM SELEWICH It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather Sam, on March 25, 2012. Sam was born in Rossburn, MB on November 18, 1912. He will be eternally remembered by his companion Mary Hominuk, children Julia Selewich and Don Pottinger of Winnipeg, Alice (Mike) Bodnarchuk of White Rock, BC, Lorne (Pat) Matusko of Beaumont, AB, John (Susan), Edward and Richard of Winnipeg. He also leaves to mourn his passing his sister Ann Maydaniuk of Shoal Lake, MB, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Sam was predeceased by his wife Martha (Zenchyshyn), his mother Dora Boroskavich, his father Bill Selewich, his sister Tennie and adopted parents Angus and Mary Derlago. Sam married his wife Martha on November 2, 1941 in Rossburn. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage until her passing on January 27, 1997. He always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his friends at Legion # 141. He lived for his children, grandchildren and great-grand-children. Sam will always be remembered as Dancing Gigi . We will always miss you. We would like to thank Cedar Grove 5th Floor Misericordia staff for the wonderful care that they provided. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A private family interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we would feel honoured if donations in Sam's memory were made to the Canadian Cancer Society, online or at 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9. 586-8044

Sam was such an amazing life force! He really was 99 years young!! I will always remember his kind spirit, good-natured humour, infectious energy, warm smile and magic feet. Sammy was a true inspiration! I just know he will dazzle everyone in heaven just like he did down here on earth. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Selewich family as you grieve through this tremendous loss. xoxo - Posted by: Arlette Bateman () on: Mar 28, 2012

Love you Grandpa you will be dearly missed. I am really going to miss my visits with you when I came into Winnipeg. You could always make me laugh by the funny things you used to say. I remember on my last visit that we had such a good laugh as you couldn't remember who I was and then felt very bad about it when you were told who I was, boy did we laugh about that I will never forget you. xoxo - Posted by: Tammy Tillapaugh (Granddaughter) on: Mar 28, 2012
