LEONARD JOHN LAPPI Leonard passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Leonard is survived by his three children, Judy Judge, Glenn and Mark; grandchildren, Kira, Alex, Laina, Justin, and Angel; one great-grandson; a sister Phyllis (Bob) Carey, Dr. Vernon Lappi (Marilyn), and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Hilma Lappi, and wife June (McIntyre). Len was born July 15, 1935 in Wadena, SK and grew up in the Margo - Invermay Area. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1960. He first worked for Underwood McLellan. Beginning in 1962, he worked for Canada Mortgage and Housing in various positions including District Manager and various locations, including Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, Toronto and Saskatoon until his retirement, after 26 years, in 1989. After retirement Len was an active volunteer and enjoyed travel until his health failed. He had a lifelong love of dogs and gardening. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Edwards Family Centre (333 4th Avenue North) Friday, March 30, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Courtesy parking at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
