STEVE MUDRY It is with sorrow that we say goodbye to Steve Mudry who passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the age of 91 in Abbotsford, B.C. Steve is survived by brothers, Jack and Ernie and sisters, Marie, Ann, Ollie and Helen. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Sophy, brothers, Mike, Peter and Wally and sisters, Jean and Molly. Steve was born and raised in the small community of Sandy Lake, MB. He was the sixth oldest of 12 children. He met and married his wife Sophy in 1951, and soon moved to Riverside, California, where he and Sophy ran a successful drive-in restaurant for many years. In 1999, after his wife's passing, Steve moved back to Canada, settling in Abbotsford to live his remaining years. Steve was a very private person but always enjoyed joking with people and having a cheeseburger and fries at McDonalds. Our sincere thanks to the staff at Bevan Lodge for looking after Steve for the past six years. You were always there when he needed you. No service; cremation has taken place. My heartful sympathy to the aunts and uncles. What I remember about uncle Steve was that at any time he came home to visit his car was in immaculate condition.
