PAULINE SAWCHUK January 28, 1921 - March 28, 2012 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Pauline Sawchuk, at the Poseidon Long Term Care Centre in Winnipeg. Mom was predeceased by her husband John, her daughter Paulette Borger and her grandson Jeffrey Waywood, as well as her sister and brothers. She is survived by daughters Penny Waywood (Bill) and Tamara Sweeney (Owen), son John (Sigrid), grandchildren Susan Waywood (Fabian), Stephanie Hampson (Kevin) and great-grandchildren Bowen and Samuel, Debbie Borger (Edouard) and great-grand-children Lauren and Anton, Jonathan Borger (Kristen), Michael Sawchuk, and Jessica Sawchuk (Tyler). Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg and was a proud north-ender. She was a devoted and caring wife and mother. After raising her family, she worked at Eaton's for 25 years. She and Dad had a wonderful marriage for 64 years and enjoyed travelling, playing baseball, darts, bingo, dancing and taking exercise classes. Mom was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church and Seniors Club. We will miss her dearly, but are comforted in knowing that she is at peace and with Dad again. At Mom's request, no formal service will be held, with a private interment at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, and donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
