I am the daughter of Art Bitter who worked with Mel, Rubin and Jonny at JMR for many years as the foreman of their silk screen shop. My dad had worked at Display Industries of Canada. I remember Mel very well and my dad truly liked him, spoke very fondly of him and respected him. I used to come into the shop many times to visit my dad and to work part time while in high school We later moved to Southern California - Santa Monica. My dad passed away in 2005. I will always have fond memories of Mel and his company JMR. My memory of Mel is as a very kind and gentle man. My sincere condolences to the family for your loss. - Posted by: Gaby Bitter (daughter of Art Bitter - work colleague) on: Jul 20, 2013

Sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad. My working relationship with Mel began at Display Industries in 1958 and continued at JMR for 18 more years. He was always supportive and treated me with dignity. Over the past number of years we met for coffee a number of times and shared good memories.
