TEENIE JASKIEWICH
Date of Passing: Mar 31, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTEENIE JASKIEWICH June 20, 1913 - March 31, 2012 With sadness, but with happy memories, the family of Teenie Jaskiewich announce her passing on March 31, 2012, at the age of 98. Our mother was fortunate to be able to stay in her own home to the very end. She was the wife and working partner of Henry for 56 happy years until he left us in 1987. She missed him dearly but we know they have rejoined hands, are together eternally and no doubt are building another house as they did in the past. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters and grandchildren, Milly, Carol, Christine (Pete) of Arizona, John (Juli), Gregory and great-grandson Tyler of Minnesota. Mum was the Baba who rolled on the floor with her grandchildren, dressed up like Santa for them, and took care of them for many memorable summers. Mum was a great woman with a big heart showing pride in her family. We'll miss her sense of humour and talent for telling jokes to whoever would listen. Teenie was predeceased by all of her ten siblings, George, Nicholas, Rose, Elsie, Anne, John, Maria, William, Pearl and Helen. She was the orphan baby of this large family and was blessed when she was raised by her brother, Nicholas and his wife Katherine, who treated her like one of their own children during the difficult depression era. She was also predeceased by many nieces and nephews much younger than Mum, but most recently by William Popowich who was like her little brother. We want to thank Junik, Anne and Jerry who were always involved in her life. As well, we thank Mum's recent home care worker, Carla, and her former home care worker, Darlene MacGillivray, who was always kind to our mother. Dr. Brian Sharkey was the epitome of a doctor who for decades showed his skill, knowledge and compassion to our Queen Mum. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. If friends desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice. We have lost our source of love and laughter 586-8044

I, Dianne, have known Teenie since I was about four. Times were always special when my parents visited Teenie and Henry or they came to our home. Teenie always had a smile, great warmth and amazing kindness. Teenie was always proud of her garden and it was so very beautiful just like her, beautiful. Teenie was a fantastic cook. She always had a joke and a smile that I shall always remember. When I married my husband, Don, he found a great friend in Teenie. Teenie may not be with us but then she will be with us in amazing memories. Our prayers go to her family. - Posted by: Dianne, Don and family (Friend) on: Apr 04, 2012
