IRENE IRIS SOKOLOSKI (FRASER) November 20, 1928 - April 9, 2012 Mom passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, after a lengthy illness. She wanted, with all her heart, to remain with us, but she could fight no longer. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Ollie; her twin sister, Eileen; her sisters, Ann, Mary, and Isabelle; and her brothers, Jimmy, Hugh and Donald. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn (Bob) Fowlks and children, Thomas and William, of Pacific Palisades, California; her son, Frank (Brenda) Sokoloski and children, Kim and David, of Rapid City; her daughter, Shannon (Andy) Culbertson of Brandon; and her daughter, Cheryl (Scott) McDonald and children, Callum and Carson, of Brandon. Mom will be remembered for her quiet, remarkable strength and love for her family. We would like to thank the staff on 400 and A2 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care of our Mother over the last few years and especially her final three weeks. Special thanks to Dr. Visser for his personal touch. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and Mom will be interred with her parents in Pine Falls Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Iris's name to Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, care of Murray House.
