Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTOPHER STEPHEN MANCINI November 22, 1961 - March 26, 2012 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend on March 26, 2012 in Vancouver, BC. He is predeceased by his mother Lynne Mancini in 2002. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his father, Victor; his sisters Angela (Peter), Lisa (Emre), Teresa, and Dianna (Dave). He also leaves to mourn his nieces and nephews Alysha, Brittany, Jiwan, Shelan, Carson; great-nephew Jayden; Uncle Frank; Uncle Don (Marg); Auntie Cheryl (Gordie), Tracey (Kevin) and Derek. Chris will be deeply missed by many good friends especially his lifelong friend Mike Bridges who was like a brother and member of the family. Chris displayed musical talent from an early age playing the drums first and then demonstrating amazing talent on the piano despite never learning how to read music! He was always willing to show off his talents; he was a performer! Chris graduated from Tec Voc High School and moved into a career in Audio Electronics as a result of his love of music. He started out in a basement record department where he was truly an expert at all types of music and quickly Advanced into more high end marketing and sales. Chris excelled at what he did and earned many honours over the years. He was hard working and dedicated. Chris moved to Vancouver in 1995 and the city quickly became home . He went back to business school and continued to excel at his job. Chris loved to travel! Thailand became a favourite destination and he made many friends who he still kept in touch with! Chris even started a Thai Import-Export business! He was a true businessman! As mom always said, Life may not be the party we asked for but keep on dancing. Chris, mom is waiting for you! Rest in peace, Jacamole . We love you! We would like to give special thanks to Michelle at Kearney's Funeral Home, and Yana and Kevin for their compassion and kindness during this difficult time. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.kearneysfs.com A memorial service will be held at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 603 Wellington Cres., Friday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Chris and I both worked at Advance in Winnipeg, a time in the 1980s. We did lots of partying together with my mom and dad and his mom and dad. Lin and Nora or Vick and Arthur would have these lavish dinner parties. Chris and I did some musical events together. He met my wife in Vancouver in 2004 where we live, as he moved out to Vancouver. What great times together, priceless. I look at all the pictures of us and our family to this day, miss ya buddy - Posted by: brian polson ( friend) on: Apr 16, 2022

I went to Queenston school with Chris and we were in the same class. My deepest sympathy to his family. I lived in Los Angeles for 30 years...now South Carolina. A classmate forwarded a picture of all of us. I remember how talented Chris was, and feel the pain of his passing with his family and closest of friends. RIP Chris! God Bless! - Posted by: Marla Hurtig (Friend) on: Jul 06, 2013

I was in grade 4/5 with Chris (1970/71) at Queenston School. That year, we pretended we were "The Partridge Family Band" and he was good on the drums back then; we practiced in his basement after school. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. - Posted by: Lisa Lievre (elementary school friend) on: Jun 09, 2013

I am just so terribly sad to discover that Chris had passed away. I went to write a Happy Birthday greeting on facebook, and for some reason thought I would google him to see if I could find out what he has been up to since I talked to him last about a year ago when I was in Vancouver for Christmas. I came to discover that he had passed away and I am just so terribly saddened by this. He was a great friend for a long time. We used to just have fun hanging out and being silly. I hope he knows how much he is missed, and I hope that there is a big party in Heaven and that he is in the center of it all. I will miss you Chris! - Posted by: Mark Garrison (Friend) on: Nov 21, 2012

You don’t meet too many friends in your lifetime; maybe one or two if you are lucky, but Chris was one of them. Chris was creative, smart, funny, and most of all a very good friend. I just want to tell you how I met Chris. I believe it happened around 1981/1982. Me and a whole bunch of friends were partying at Beaconia Beach cabin and dancing outdoors to 80’s music. Sorry, but it sounded good at the time. What I remember from that evening is that Chris + Mike, and a couple other guys walk to the back yard to the sound of “sweet dreams are made of this”, Chris says “you guys are playing some great tunes!” That evening and from there on we completely click on and started hanging around. I shared same interest with Chris in music, tennis, and never ending conversations about life. I love you Chris. You definitely made my life very special in Canada. I hope you are in better place Jacamole George - Posted by: george (friend) on: Apr 23, 2012
