THOMAS STEWART RITCHIE It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Thomas Stewart Ritchie announces his passing peacefully in Brampton on April 8, 2012. Tom was born January 30, 1924 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Daniel R. Ritchie and Janet (Binnie). He served as leading seaman of the Royal Canadian Navy Coastal Services, 65th Flotilla in the English Channel during the Second World War. He began his own company, R M Plastics, in 1966 in Brampton, Ontario. Tom received his Second Paul Harris Award from the Brampton Rotary Club in 2010, was an avid golfer, and impressive magician. He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty M. (Tomney), and devoted children Brian (deceased 2003) and Wendy, Bob and Linda Ritchie, Susan and Frank Romanelli. Grandfather to Todd and Jenni Ritchie, Shawn and Sonya Romanelli, Amy and Michelle Talbert, Tammy and Glen Harding, and Dan and Trina Ritchie; great-grandfather to Connor Romanelli, Samantha and Nicole Harding, and Miles Ritchie. He will be truly missed by siblings, Walter and Denise Ritchie, Margaret Sacks, Alex and Del Ritchie. A celebration of Tom's life will be at a later date at Greenway Retirement Home in Brampton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The War Amps or charity of your choice
