Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES OLSON (nee BROWN) August 6, 1924 - April 12, 2012 Agnes Olson (nee Brown) passed away peacefully on April 12, 2012 at Golden West Centennial Lodge in Winnipeg. Agnes will be sadly missed by her children Walter (Rita), Karen, Tom (Arlene), grandchildren Marlee, Matthew, Erika and sister Tillie (Lloyd) Snow. Agnes is predeceased by her husband David, brothers William and Joe Brown, sisters Ethel Lantz, Violet Power, Sarah Johnson and Mary Schoening. Mom was born August 6, 1924 at Hay Lakes, Alberta to Fred and Mary Brown. She was the youngest of eight children and when her father died the following year, she was raised by her mother and older siblings on the farm at New Sarepta. She married David Olson on April 23, 1955 and they settled at Lake Francis where they raised a family and built a dairy farm from the ground up. In 1975 they moved to Warren where they resided, eventually into retirement. Dad passed in 1992 and Mom moved to Winnipeg in 2004 to get the care she needed and to be closer to Karen. Mom loved bowling, bingo, crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting and music. Mom will be remembered for her quiet demeanour and her ever ready smile. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge second and fourth floors for their wonderful care of Mom. A service will be held at Warren United Church, Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., interment to follow in the Warren Cemetery. It was a privledge to visit Agnes weekly. She was a delight and had an easy smile. She will be missed and I thank all the family for letting her come into my life. You cared for your mother with much love. Blessings to you all. My thoughts and prayers are for you, Karen, and the rest of the family.
