Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER ANDREJOWICH October 21, 1922 April 16, 2012 Walter, beloved husband of Frances (Bukowski) passed away on Monday, April 16 at Kin Place, Oakbank. Walter will be missed by his beloved wife Frances, life partner for 67 years, his children Walter Jr., (friend Simone), Linda McFadyen (Carmen), Raymond (friend Penny), Janice Klassen (Walter), son-in-law Wallace Klos, daughter-in-law Daniela Andrejowich, 14 grand children and 14 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Saphira Andryjowich. He also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by daughter Patricia Klos, parents Wasyl and Pauline, brothers, and sister-in-law Larry (Vicky) and John, sisters and brothers-in-law, Nellie and John Zaluski, Victoria and Mike Grycki, Jean and Fred Prokopanko, Caroline and Peter Haydey. Walter came from Poland as a young child in 1928 where the family settled in Cook's Creek. Mom and Dad were married in 1944 and with the help from his young wife, children, and friends, he cleared the land of trees, rocks, and stumps. He loved the land for its bounty and its animals, which shared the land with him. In 1950 his life was dramatically effected when he suffered a near fatal tractor accident being pinned to the ground and saved by the efforts of passing neighbours; it took two years to recover. In 1977 he was struck by Guillain-Barre syndrome. After his recovery he had to switch from mixed farming to grain farming. He missed the farm animals and all the joy they gave him in life. Walter loved family and friends, when everyone got together for a party, or just a visit. He enjoyed the hard work and in later years traveling with his wife to Hawaii. He also worked at Manitoba Rolling Mills, and at CNR where he made life long friends. His farm life was cut short by a worn out body, but his spirit was always willing. He missed Mom and the farm everyday till the end. The family would like to thank Kin Place staff for their support and for the love they gave him. Special thanks to Pat and Fred, Daniela, and the Andersons for all their help. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Cooks Creek at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations to Kin Place Personal Care Home, 680 Pine Drive, Box 28, Oakbank MB R0E 1J0 would be appreciated. 586-8044

Mike and I would like to extend our condolences to Raymond and his family. Walter was a strong pioneer who supported his family in many ways.
