Condolences & Memories (14 entries)

  • So long buddy, we had a lot of fun going to Otter Falls almost every weekend with our girlfriends and playing table tennis for hours and hours to get us through the winters. Walking to the floodway with our 22s. Haven't seen Pete for years since moving to Vancouver but he was and still is one of my dearest friends and in there with my best childhood memories. - Posted by: Jack (childhood pal) on: Apr 27, 2013

  • Very sorry to hear of Peter's death. He was a friend of our son Kim RIP - Posted by: Audrey &Roger Kauk (Friends in Transcona in th 60s) on: Aug 15, 2012

  • Although I didn't get the chance to meet Peter, I believe that a reflection of a good man shines through his children. As I have gotten to know Jeremy over the past few years, I have come to know an intelligent, kind, caring young man who I could see has had a great role model. As Amanda shared some wonderful memories of Peter with me, she said that the one regret she had was that I never got to meet him & while I also wish I had, from what I have heard about Peter, he truly brings to mind the saying "only the good die young". I am truly sorry to all of Peter's family & friends for their sudden loss and hope that all of their wonderful memories help give them peace & comfort in their most difficult days. - Posted by: Dianne McNeil (Amanda McNeil's (Jeremy's girlfrend) mom) on: Apr 25, 2012

  • Our deepest sympathy to Peter's family and friends. As a longtime friend of John's I was often over to their Camrose Bay home and saw Peter grow from 6 to a fine young man. As happens, lives and families go in different directions, but from the many accounts above it is obvious that Peter loved, was loved, loved life and brought joy to many that crossed his path. Thank you Peter! Ron - Posted by: Ron & Sharon Wood (Friend of the Sexton Family) on: Apr 24, 2012

  • Peter will be missed by all whose lives he touched. I personally will miss his sense of humour and thank him for his teachings. He will always be "uncle Peter" and I enjoyed the time we worked together at Nedco and our interactions as we both changed places of employment. God Speed healing to Marilynn and family, to Murray and his family and to the families of John and Gregory (whom I have not met). Have a great night Peter, God Bless you! - Posted by: Julie Ross (Friend and colleague ) on: Apr 24, 2012

  • Peter will be missed every day. His positive attitude always cheered up the people around him whether at work or at a curling game. He was a pleasure to work with and fun to curl with. My heart goes out to Marilyn and the family at this time of sadness. - Posted by: John Hildebrandt (Co-worker, curler and friend) on: Apr 24, 2012

  • I was actually brother John's age but grew up on the next Bay and knew of all the Sexton's. Peter always had a genuine smile to give when you met him. He had a great love of life. My condolences to his wife and children and all the family. He will be missed. - Posted by: Eric Clapham (childhood friend) on: Apr 23, 2012

  • Peter will be missed everyday by his "work family". Kathy and I will especially miss his laugh, great sense of humour and his bright "good mornings" and "have a great night". There is always special people that can certainly brighten your day, and Peter is one of them. He will be truely missed and remembered each working minute. - Posted by: Leanne Feiffer (co worker at Westburne Electric) on: Apr 21, 2012

  • I have known Peter for quite some time and talked to him frequently at work as he was my contact for purchasing parts for the company I work for. I would mostly catch up with Peter at Georges on the weekends and join him for a drink or two, along with Marilyn. Just recently, we had a good laugh as we discovered that our Birthdays were on the same day. God Bless. - Posted by: Ken Donaldson (Friend) on: Apr 21, 2012

  • Sorry to hear about Peter's passing. I worked with Peter at the Nedco Branch in Winnipeg (1986). Regards Warren - Posted by: Warren Martens (Friend / Westburne Employee from Thompson, MB) on: Apr 20, 2012

  • We will miss Peter immensely. John has a lifetime of memories of all the brothers growing up together. Whether they were getting along or getting into trouble, they did it as a team. Fishing was one of Peter's favorite pastimes and John has many "fish stories" of their summer and winter expeditions.....not all good.....but many funny ones. John & Peter talked on the phone almost on a daily basis. Conversations about sports were discussed in detail. Peter fell in love and married Marilyn almost 32 years ago and she is probably the best thing that ever happened to him. We love Marilyn, too. Peter loved music, loved sports, loved his family & loved life. We miss you so much Peter <3 - Posted by: John & Debra Sexton (Eldest Brother & Sister-in-law) on: Apr 20, 2012
