Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA (KULLY) MELNYK October 15, 1916 - April 20, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dearest Mother and Grandmother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stan, and also by her parents and siblings. Left to cherish her wonderful memory are her children Pat, Eileen (Dwight) and Doug (Larry), her grandchildren Curt (Leah), Keith, Kevin (Chandra), and Amanda (Tad). She was blessed with six great-grandchildren; Tanner and Kaitlyn, Maya and Brooklyn, Jacob and Owen. Also surviving her are her sister Alice, her devoted sister-in-law Marlene and numerous nieces and nephews. Olga (Kully) was a woman who possessed a charm born of true interest and caring for others- whether they were family, friends, acquaintances or strangers. She loved curling with the Prince Edward Legion Ladies, bowling at Roxy Lanes until past her 90th birthday, line dancing, rummoli with Marlene and Vicki, and meeting her friends for coffee at the Sals. Olga and Stan spent many happy times at their cottage at Lee River and travelling to Hawaii and BC. After losing Stan she devoted herself to her family and became a second mother to Kevin and Amanda whose lives have been indelibly shaped by her selfless and unconditional love. She also continued her travels to Mexico and Hawaii with Pat, Marlene and Alice. Olga especially enjoyed her trips with all her kids to Mexico and the U.S. Mom was legendary for her delicious perogies and holubci and taught all her kids how to make them. She was a beautiful knitter and many babies wore her generous creations. Her own great-grandchildren were the lights of her life. Mom was the ultimate peacemaker and care giver. She was always there for us, proud of us, forgiving of our lapses, and could never do enough for us. Her legacy is immeasurable. The family would like to thank all the third floor staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for their loving and wonderful care. Mom had a special bond with Mary, Anna, Maria, Gil, Alma, Eileen and so many more. A special thank you to Kerron Kidd whose care for all of us went well beyond the call of duty. A celebration of her life will be held at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. on Tuesday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m.
