ABE KLASSEN 1934 - 2012 Peacefully, with his loving family beside him, Abe Klassen, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on April 25, 2012 at the age of 77. Left to mourn his departure from this world are his loving wife, Eileen, daughters Karen (Michael), Cheryl (Art), sons Darrell (Susan), Allan (Elinor) and grandchildren: Kelsey, Brittany, Cody, Riley, Stephanie, Brendan, Braeden, Sydnee, Reece and many friends and extended family. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses with CancerCare Manitoba and the Palliative Care unit of St. Boniface Hospital for making the end of life journey so caring. The funeral for Abe Klassen will be Monday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch St., with interment to follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Abe's memory may be made to CancerCare MB, 1160 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

It is with great sadness that we have just this week learned of the passing of Mr. Klassen. Eileen, may the Lord comfort you each and every day. Cheryl, Art, and family, we pray peace upon you all, the Lord's Peace. I have some good memories of Abe, and those memories bring joy to my heart.
