EVELYN ROSELENE ROSS It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Ross announces her passing on Thursday, April 26, 2012 in Fort Frances, Ontario at the age of 81. Evelyn was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 10, 1930 to the late Alexander and Matilda Ross. Evelyn resided in Winnipeg most of her life except for the summers where she would spend most of her time at her trailer in Gimli, Manitoba on Lake Winnipeg. Evelyn enjoyed knitting, crocheting and most of all travelling. Her curious nature led her to numerous places and taking long road trips with her daughter. She had a quirky sense of humour and you could almost always make her laugh. Evelyn was an active member in her apartment block where she had wonderful friends; that is where you could find her on certain weeknights helping out with bingo. One on one she was soft spoken and very much enjoyed the company of her family. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Lynne (Rod) Savage; her three grandchildren, Michelle (Jordie) Rheault, Nicole Broman and Danielle Spuzak; two step-grandchildren Jacquee (Curt) Loerzel, Jeff (Kyla) Savage; three great-grandchildren, Justin Rheault, Madison Rheault and Peter Spuzak; four step-great-grandchildren Aiden, Ayanna, Aric and Ben; sisters Helen (Bruce) Lewis, Betty (Verne) Lozinski, brother Alex (Pat) Ross and various nieces and nephews; stepchildren Walter (Carol) Wroblowsky, Linda (Herb) Semler, Heather (Paul) Brechin, Kathy (Ron) Clapp and their families. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Walter Wroblowsky. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at John Black Memorial United Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service at the church.
