VICTOR PETER HAYDA November 19, 1950 - May 2, 2012 An era has come to a close. Victor passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 2. He is survived by his loving family, wife Linda, son Victor, daughter-in-law Dana, grand- daughter Sara Lynn (TJ) Spence and great- grandchild Gracie and his grandson Victor 111, foster grandsons, Jeremiah and Austin. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Hayda, father-in-law Raymond Lavallee and step-mother-in-law, Pauline. He is also survived by his own family, his mother, Hilde, sister Babe (Margitta) and Albert and family, brother Herbert and Jeanette, Sliver (Silvia) and family, and his two sisters in Germany, Rosie and Walberga. His mother-in-law Theresa and Rueben Wittmier Lavatch (Glen) and Marieta and family, Philco/Quarters (Phil) and Leslie and family, Waldo (Brian), Patsy (Pat) and Hartmut and family, Valerie and Brian and family, Knobs/Gobble (Norm) and Sandy and family, BMB (Bev) and Eugene and family, Weasel/Pinko (Lloyd) and family. He is also survived by Pauline's children, the Bowmans and their families. Victor was known for applying nick names to family and friends as seen by the above and those names had special meanings to him and not necessarily to the person. His son and family were the focus of his life and he worked hard to give his son the opportunity to acquire some of the skills passed down from his Dad. Due to his declining health, the family, were so fortunate to have him with us this long. He had a wide spectrum of friends, some from early childhood to his teen years and into adulthood. When the opportunity came to get together you knew there was going to be some figuring timeouts. He will be sorely missed by all but not forgotten as he had made his presence felt. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate to Winnipeg Humane Society or Darcy's No Kill Shelter. I will be with you soon ghepeto. Love you always DAD.
