RUBY EDITH MABLE KINNIBURGH (nee PALMER) March 14, 1918 - May 2, 2012 On May 2, 2012 at Totem Lodge, in Sechelt, BC. Ruby, predeceased by her husband John Henry Kinniburgh who passed away on April 25, 1981. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Janice Small (Bob) of Gibsons, B.C; sons Keith (Catherine) of Minneapolis, MN; and Robert of North Vancouver, BC; grand-children Christie (John), Kyle, Betsy, Scott (Kimberly) John (Natasha) and Christopher; great-grandchildren Gavin, Iain, Luke, and Charlotte; dear brothers Reg Palmer (Isabelle) of Lac du Bonnet, MB, Jim Palmer (Marilyn) of Winnipeg, MB; dear sister Violet Dillon of Calgary, AB; and many nieces and nephews. Ruby was a longtime resident of North Vancouver, a faithful member of Highlands United Church, one of the Curling Girls of Capilano Winter Club, a dedicated North Vancouver Lawn Bowler, and a long-time Meal on Wheels volunteer where she served until her 85th year. Ruby was a true and proud Canadian; born in St. James, MB, and lived in five provinces including her beloved British Columbia, where she moved in 1965 and lived and made friends for the past 47 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Hourigan, and all the staff at Totem Lodge for their kind and compassionate care given Mum in her final four years. A Celebration of Life will be held for Ruby on June 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Boulevard, North Vancouver, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highlands United Church Memorial Fund.
