Grace Smith had a calm spirit, and a warm personality that showed she truly cared about people. I had the good fortune to meet Grace in 1979 and became a co-worker with her. In all those years since then, Grace always treated clients and staff with dignity and in a professional way. If she felt strongly about something, she would let you know in an honest way or with a sense of humor. She was a quiet joy to be around, was trusted by others and was wise in her own way. Grace was trusted because she had earned the respect of others by her actions. She was kind hearted and was truly missed when she retired, but would show up from time to time with a ready smile and a warm heart. Even when she was in palliative care, her goodness of heart never faltered. I am grateful for having known this noble Soul and am sure in my heart that God in His compassion has found a worthy place for her since her passing. All the very best to her family and thank you for sharing her life with those she worked with and who became her friends. - Posted by: Douglas Culliford (co-worker and friend) on: Jul 31, 2012

Grace was a long time volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society in 700 Setter. Grace was the block captain for many years and later canvassed the building. She was committed to the annual April community canvas and worked to ensure a successful campaign. She will be missed.
