EGLANTINE (TINE) SIMONE ORR (CARON) With heavy hearts, but wonderful memories, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on May 6, 2012 at the age of 89. Mom will be greatly missed by her five children Clyde (Isabel), Blayne (Irene), Caron (Jeff Sveistrup), Ralph (Yvette), and Sandra Netzel; her grandchildren Ashley (Graham), Kristy (Mike), Kara, Jim (Zabrinaa), Ria (Brad), Sam, Kathy (Randy), Maggie (Beven), Jason, Trevor (Elizabeth), Clinton (Jodi), Schuyler (Amanda), Devin (Stacey), and her brother Henri. Tine was predeceased by her parents Eva and Leon Caron, her husband Clinton (2010), her son-in-law Gary Netzel (2011), and her brothers Rudolph and Paul and their spouses Leona and Theresa. Mom was born in Norman on March 21, 1923, the only girl among three brothers. In between raising a family of five children, she was employed as a telephone operator for the Town of Kenora, an accounting clerk for Bergman Builders and a librarian for the Keewatin library, until her retirement in 1987. She was an active member of St. Louis Parish and a lifetime member of the Catholic Women's League, faithfully serving them for over 60 years. She was sustained and strengthened by her strong and passionate faith in Christ. Mom will be remembered for her gentle, pleasant manner and for always having a smile and kind word for all she met. All knew Mom as a gentle soul but her quiet strength was evident without fail, shining through in her day-to-day life. She was always there to love and protect her family - her pride and joy in life. Mom especially loved being with her grandchildren and cherished all family birthday and holiday gatherings throughout the year. She was never happier than when participating in or hosting a family function and had a special way of keeping us connected. Mom taught us all the value and importance of family. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Louis Church with Father Thomas Mullamangalam officiating, followed by a private family interment. The family wishes to thank the dedicated and caring staff at the Victoria General Hospital for the compassionate care given to Mom during her final days. If friends so desire, donations in Tine's memory may be made to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Dear Lord, relying on your promises to us, we turn to you in trust that Mom is with you enjoying your loving embrace. You alone know how she loved the best she could and how she faithfully endured the struggles that she faced. You alone know the graces you gave her and the grace that she was for us and for so many. May she enjoy the communion of all her family and friends who are with you. We ask you this with faith in the resurrection, trusting in Mom's faith and love in you and your faith and love for her. Amen
