SHIRLEY LAMB April 30, 2012 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Shirley Lamb beloved wife, mother, auntie and sister. Shirley was predeceased by her mother Carol and her father Paul, she leaves to mourn her husband Ray, daughter Sheri of B.C. and son Jason of Winnipeg, her sister Diane of B.C., her in-laws numerous nieces and nephews, and her many friends. Shirley was born in Kenora, Ontario, but lived in Winnipeg all her adult life. Shirley was married for 43 years and worked as a legal secretary before taking time off to raise her children. Shirley loved to play golf and travel with Ray. They enjoyed many fun trips over the years, most recently in Los Cabos, Mexico, and Flordia. She loved reading and going to the movies, going several times a month up until only a few months ago. She was a quiet shy person who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She leaves us with many happy memories Although she was ill for several years, she never surrendered to her disease. She fought to stay with Ray until the end, and in true Shirley style, she never complained about health problems. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25 at Brookside Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare or a charity that makes you smile. Shirl we love you and will always miss you. May you rest in peace, free from pain.
