Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I went to the same school with Keynes - one of his sons - in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria in the early 80s. I also lived in the same neighbourhood with Keynes and his dad. Keynes's dad was always smiling and happy to see me with Keynes. I also remember him as a focal point of Canadian expatriates in Niger State. He was a hardworking math teacher at the College of Education in Minna and contributed to the training of many students who graduated to become professional teachers across the state. I lost contact with Keynes and his dad when I changed school in the mid 80s but reunited with Keynes a few years ago when I went to England to study. I still remember Papa Bona and Keynes with nostalgia whenever I pass by the flat they lived in for many years in the Tunga area of Minna. I pray that God almighty will comfort the family. Papa rest in peace!!! - Posted by: Dr. Babangida JIBRIN (Friend and classmate of Keynes) on: Dec 14, 2014

  • I remember Mr. Emerurwa as my Grade 10 and 11 Math teacher. Although I didn't have the best Math scores...he was always so patient and understanding with me. His morning smile set the tone for the entire class. I hope he knows how much impact he had on so many many Kelvin students. This year, is Kelvin's 100th Reunion. I know that many of us will share our tender stories of this remarkable teacher. Peace to all of the family members. - Posted by: Rose Miller (Kelvin Student 1970s ) on: May 13, 2012
