MARJORIE ETHEL SLATER June 20, 1912 - May 10, 2012 Peacefully on May 10, 2012 at Victoria Hospital, Marjorie Slater passed away at the age of 99 years. Marjorie leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Doreen, grandchildren Tom (Lucille), Barbara, Don (Ellen), and Brenda; great-grandchildren Paul (Jennifer), Michelle (Matt), Valerie (Carson), David, Michael and Christina; and great-great-grandchildren Lilah and Brayden. She was predeceased by Roy, her husband of 50 years, daughter Doris, and sister Helen. Marge was a proud life long resident of Winnipeg and graduated from Kelvin High School in 1928. She loved to travel, starting with her husband Roy for fishing and camping trips, and later travelled with her family, along with visiting them across the continent. An accomplished pianist, Marge was a fan of the Winnipeg Music Festival for decades, and at the age of 95, she delighted in a private tour of the Steinway Piano Factory in New York. Marge always had a positive outlook on life. She was known as Grandma to three generations, their extended family and friends.
