MARY PELESHOK (KWASNICKI) April 1, 1919 - May 13, 2012 It is with great sadness the family of Mary Peleshok announces her peaceful passing on Mother's Day. Mary is survived by her daughters, Olga (Cliff) Barth and Audrey (Charlie) Couch and son-in-law Steve Domitruk. She was the very proud grandmother of Dean (Karen) Barth, Jeff (Mary) Domitruk, Delaine (Mark) Russo and Charles Couch. She also leaves three precious great-grandchildren, Zachary Domitruk, Avery Barth and Maksym Russo. She is also survived by her brother Stan (Jean) Kwasnicki and sisters-in-law, Jean, Teenie, Rosemary and Gladys Kwasnicki, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 2006 after more than 65 years of marriage and her eldest daughter Jean in 2008; four brothers, Joseph, John, Julian and Alex; four sisters, Olga (Ken) Randall, Pauline (Jack) Campbell, Anne (Paul) Solomon and Emily (Eddy) Ptashnik; her parents Magdalena and Vladimyr Kwasnicki and several nephews. May was born and raised in the Tolstoi area but lived most of her life in Winnipeg. She was a great cook, enjoyed entertaining, playing bingo and gardening. She was kind and giving, with her home being always open to family and friends, and she never refused to lend a helping hand. Due to failing health, Mary spent the last six years at Holy Family Home. She still enjoyed teasing and always had a great comeback. Our sincere thanks to the 2A staff, especially Maria and Krystina and Pastoral Care. Thank you to her Handsome Doctor (Mary's words) Dr. Terry Babick who was so kind and took special care of Mom. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 18 at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1500 Day St. with The Rt. Rev. Protopresbyter William Wasyliw officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dean Barth, Jeff Domitruk, Mark Russo, Joe Solomon, Ivan Kwasnicki and Rob Kennedy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. VICHNAYA PAMYAT-MEMORY ETERNAL CHRYSTOS VOSKRES KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193
