ANNE BRISKIE 1910 2012 Anne Skolastika Briskie passed away peacefully in Canmore, AB on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the age of 101 years. Anne was predeceased by her husband Clemens and her son William, brothers John and Ted and her sister Adele. She is survived by her son Robert (Elizabeth) Briskie of Canmore, AB; two grandchildren, Patricia (Trent) Semeniuk, Montreal, PQ and Bill Briskie of Edmonton, AB; great-grandchildren Julia and Matthew as well as nieces Phyllis Schofield of New Hamberg, ON and Ellen Duffield of Burlington, ON and nephew Allan Zubrycki of Winnipeg. Anne was an active stay at home Mom until her children were grown and then worked with her husband at Viceroy Sportswear in Winnipeg until retirement. She was a lifetime active member of the Catholic Woman's League and during the war, a member of the IODE. In later years, she lived in St. Albert and then moved to be with her son Robert and Elizabeth in Canmore, AB. Funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and son. Flowers gratefully declined.
