Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAVTAR SINGH BAWA Avtar Singh Bawa passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 47 years, Gursharan, his children, Era (Rob), Neena (Nitin), and Jassie (Dyana), and his five granddaughters Tia, Elisha, Natasha, Chloe and Maya who he loved dearly. He will be lovingly remembered by all that knew him, and has touched the lives of many with this kind heart and gentle soul. Avtar was born in Gujrawala, India, on May 30, 1930. He was the older brother to many, and a gentleman to all. After immigrating to Canada in 1966, he achieved balance and happiness in his work, family life and personnel endeavors including carpentry, travel, living a healthy lifestyle and helping anybody who needed it. Funeral service will be held May 20 at Riverside Funeral Home in Ladner, BC. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg at a later date.
