Read, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, May 17, 2012 with her children at her side. Margaret was born in Brandon, Manitoba. Like many children of her generation she experienced the first hand the suffering brought on by the Great Depression. During the War she worked for the C.N.R. After the boys came home she chose to dedicate her life to raising a family. After the kids left home she dusted off her office skills and returned to the workforce. Margaret made friends easily and delighted in social activities, whether dancing at the club with her husband or having intimate dinners with friends and family. She will be remembered by all those who knew her as a person of great kindness, warmth and generosity. Margaret is survived by her three children, James, Hilary and Pamela, her grandson Louis, and her son-in-law Thomas LeRoy. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Tuesday, May 22 at Ward Funeral Home 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3221). As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Please visit Margaret's Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
