MARGARET GRANT Peacefully on May 14, 2012 Margaret passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Betsy and Neil Sutherland, brother Bob Sutherland and husband of 56 years, Jim Grant. She is survived by her children Bill (Barb), Jim (Ann), Don (Tracey), Rose, Bonnie (Kevin), grandchildren, Heather (Larry), Ryan, Devon, Justin, Caitlin, Krystle, Matthew, Jim and great- grandchildren Emily and Sara. She is also survived by her siblings Neil (Kay) Sutherland, Nessie Bevington, Bill (Sheila) Sutherland, Jean (Doug) Ingram and sisters-in-law Kay Grant and Lorraine Sutherland, and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret spent most of her career working at Safeway, and married Jim August 22, 1953. They enjoyed many years of retirement together in Winnipeg Beach and Gimli, and truly enjoyed all the casino trips throughout the years with friends and family. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital's ICU unit and 7th floor surgical ward for all their compassion and care during Mom's stay; and would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Riverview Health Center for their care and support of Margaret; she truly enjoyed her time at the Health Center. At Mom's request an immediate family only interment has been planned. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dream Factory at 303 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg or to a charity of choice.
