Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN SPILCHUK 1928 - 2012 On Friday, May 18, 2012, Norman Spilchuk passed away at home after a lengthy battle with C.O.P.D. at the age of 83. Norman was predeceased by his parents, his four brothers and one sister as well as his first wife Helen. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Lynne and her family, his five grandsons; Jason (Sandy), Jody Romaniuk of Winnipeg, Jeremy, Jamie and Dustin Spilchuk of Kelowna, BC and great-grandson Joshua Henkel of Winnipeg and one son Greg (Carman) Spilchuk of Kelowna, BC. Norman will also be sadly missed by his summer neighbours at Spruce Bay and his longtime friends John and Helen Gillingham, as well as his beloved dog Trixie. Norman was born and raised on Pandora, in Transcona. He worked for 39 years at C.N. and part time at Canadian Tire Pit Stop in Transcona. He met his wife Lynne in 1990 and together with his beloved dog Trixie they travelled with the trailer to the States, West Coast, Toronto and other places until 2004 when he couldn't travel anymore. Many thanks to Bernie, Judy and Bev who helped at the time of his death and all the neighbors who have been so kind, also to the Paramedics and RCMP of Gimli and Dr. S.V. Patel. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, officiated by Reverend Leslie Clark.
