Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDARRYL HUGH MCFADYEN November 16, 1940 - May 22, 2012 We regret to announce suddenly and peacefully Darryl passed away in his sleep. Left to forever cherish Darryl's memory are his daughters, Lorna Joba (Lorne), Tonya Penman (David), Leigh Ann McFadyen (Rob); six grandchildren; as well by his large family and many friends. He was predeceased by his loving companion Jo-Ann Fisher on May 16, 2012. Darryl was born, the middle of nine children, in Deloraine, MB, and raised on the family farm near Boissevain, MB. He left the farm to be a long distance truck driver for more than 50 years. He was a great story teller and loved to laugh. He was a generous friend, a proud father, and loved nature and animals. In compliance with Darryl's wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. A private family Interment will be held at a later date. We wish to thank Derrick Fisher and Alison Santoro for the friendship and care they gave to our dad.

My Mother was Corinne Arthur. She lived in Colony Square when your Dad did. They had known each other for years and were good friends. They spent many an afternoon eating supper and watching their shows. She was diagnosed with Colon Cancer on April 19, 2007 and died May 30, 2012. When she was first diagnosed your Dad would often make supper for her and just spend time with her. He was a very caring person. I have chatted with him over the years but not within the past year.
