Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET C.CATCHPOLE KELLEY (nee GORDON) Quietly passed away at St. Joseph's Villa in Dundas, Ontario on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in her 89th year. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband Edward Catchpole and her second husband Douglas M. Kelley. Margaret had three sons with her first husband: Ted (Dee), Brent (Carolyn), and James; and two stepchildren, Kathryn and Doug, with her second. One of eight children, Margaret was born and raised in Winnipeg. As a teenager she attended Gordon Bell High. Margaret loved swimming and loved teaching others to swim. As a Red Cross instructor, she specialized in working with people who had developmental challenges. Margaret loved volunteering to coach athletes with physical challenges in preparation for competitive sports. She will be missed by her surviving siblings, her cousins and their children. Margaret leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and stepgrandchildren. Her family profoundly wishes to express their deepest thanks to all her great friends who made her life a good one over the decades, and who were there for her in her final years. Her final years would have been hollow without their kindnesses. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the administration and caregivers at St. Joseph's Villa whose professionalism and compassion gave her final years dignity. According to Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place; no funeral service will be held. We are confident that those who knew and loved Margaret will remember her in their own special way. Funeral arrangements entrusted to MARLATT FUNERAL HOME CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton. On-line tributes may be made at www.marlattfhhamilton.com.
