HAZEL IRENE RANDLE (nee ALDERSON) Peacefully on May 23, 2012, with her family by her side, Hazel passed away just four days after turning 100. Mom was born in the Clearview District, Gilbert Plains, MB. She married William Randle in 1937, and after farming in the area, moved to Rivercrest, MB in 1946, with their children. In later years, they moved into St. Vital where mom made many close friends and enjoyed being near to her children and grandchildren. Mom was a homemaker, devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her priorities were being a wonderful mother and wife. She was all one could ask for in a mom and grandma. She was truly loved. Mom loved making quilts or afghans for her grandchildren or fundraisers, loved animals - except snakes! , always had cats or dogs, enjoyed the United Church and participated in Church groups and activities, loved cards or games with her friends, carpet bowling at Golden Links Lodge and just being with people. Hazel is survived by son Dale (Pat), daughter Janice (Robert) Brickey, grandchildren Paul (Bonnie), Chris (Janice), Jenny (Derek) Van den Driessche, Lisa (David) Wallace, Ryan Brickey (Adra); great-grandchildren Paige, Ella, Ryland, Emma, Joshua, Alexis, and Matthew. Also survived by sister-in-law Agnes Alderson (widow of brother James Alderson), and numerous nieces and nephews. Hazel was predeceased by her husband William, son James, and by her brothers and sister. Mom lived her last eight years at Golden Links Lodge, where the staff took wonderful care of her. Dale and Janice appreciate and thank the staff for their compassion and kindness to mom. Mom has been cremated and there will be a family celebration of her life at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice. WE LOVE YOU MOM AND GRANDMA. REST IN PEACE.
