MARTHA BIRCHAM 1914 - 2012 Martha passed away of cancer at Riverview Health Centre on May 25, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, William Bircham. She is survived by her stepchildren Sheila Fawcett, Rosemary Yates, Alan Bircham, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephew Ernest Wilkes, many relatives and friends. Many thanks to Dr. Nashed and staff at CancerCare, for the kindness they showed Martha, as well as the doctors and staff at Riverview. Funeral service to take place at Neil Bardal, 3030 Notre Dame on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue.

My memories of my Nanny Bircham go way back to when I was 3 and she lived down the street from me. I would run down to have tea with her at such an early age. She always gave me the best cookies ever, and was always kind and loving to me. I am sorry to hear of her passing and know she will be at peace now.
