EVA JOYCE FERRISS Eva Joyce Ferriss was born in Shellmouth, MB, in 1914. Joyce passed away May 30, 2012, and was predeceased by her parents, Bert and Ella Ferriss, brothers Hilliard, Oliver, Leonard and Gorden, and sisters Lena, Ida and Shirley. She is survived by her sister Lois Wilson, sisters-in-law Pauline Ferriss and Mae Allen. Aunt Joyce is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, who have always kept in touch with her from across Canada and the U.S.A. Her Winnipeg family consisted of her niece Darlene McMaster, and her husband Wayne and their families, as well as her niece Islay Giles and her family. In 1937, Joyce moved to Bowsman, MB, with her family. She later took her L.P.N. nursing training in Winnipeg and worked eight years at the King George Hospital, and 21 years for the Shriners Hospital after which she retired. Joyce fellowshipped at Bethesda Church for many years, and came to know Jesus as her Lord and Saviour there. For the last 10 years her home has been at the Middlechurch Nursing Home. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the staff at the Middlechurch Home for taking care of Joyce over the years, and for being so kind during our loss. We would also like to thank all those who have been so faithful in visiting Joyce. May God bless each one of you. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with a reception to follow. Interment will follow in July in Bowsman, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's memory to a charity of your choice. 586-8044
