I wanted to let you know that I am so glad to have known you. You were a sweet man. I've never forgotten the first time I saw you. The times I spent with you have stayed with me after all these years. You had a really good heart Daryl, and you are missed. - Posted by: Rosella Owens Dixon (friend) on: Jul 07, 2013

Life. Loss. / For the fortunate, / Love. / Soothed wound, / On a dark day. / Darker days / Yet to come / My hurt too deep / To see you through; / Your last dark days, / To the end. / Guilt. Remorse. / Those who loved you / Know. A gentle soul / From this unforgiving / Life is gone. / Now, / Only love remains. / - Posted by: Douglas Stuart Knight (Friend) on: Oct 24, 2012

I remember in Grade 3 at Central School in Brandon Daryl organized a Christmas play. He wrote most of the lines and his humor and knowledge was far ahead of most kids his age. In junior high we were in band together and I remember going on a band trip to a number of small towns in Southern Manitoba and we stayed overnight at a billet home in Morden. I last say Daryl when we were in school and often wondered about him. Sad to read his obituary in the Brandon Sun. - Posted by: Jim Hawkins (Classmate) on: Jun 16, 2012
