Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUN LOY HO October 12, 1941 - June 1, 2012 With heavy hearts on this day June 1, 2012, our family, Ken (son), Nelson (son), Lily (sister) and Ying (wife) announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and husband, due to a brief and sudden illness. Sun Loy Ho had immigrated to Canada in 1967. He and his wife were in Montreal, Canada, in 1967, for their honeymoon during the Man and His World Expo it was there that they fell in love with Canada and decided it would be a great place to live and raise a family. He was a master chef/cook in Chinese cooking; Ken was presented with a wonderful opportunity in 1977, as he became part owner of Kum Koon Garden when it was located on the corner of Main and Portage. In 1985, he moved his family to Winkler, Manitoba and opened the first Chinese Restaurant in town. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street with prayers being said at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Bardal Funeral Home.
