ELIZABETH COLE 1943 - 2012 Peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2012, with her family at her side, our beloved Betty left this life to begin her eternal one. Betty was predeceased by her husband Leo Arcand, and two of her children, Holly and Darryl. Left to mourn her loss and forever miss her are her son, Cameron, her grandsons, Kyle and Denis, her sisters, Edith (Roy) and Margaret (Ken), and many nieces and nephews. Betty was born and raised in Dauphin. In the midst of raising her children, she went back to school and became an LPN. She worked at Misericordia Hospital for many years and even in her retirement she worked part time in a personal care home. She was a kind and compassionate nurse and took great pride in doing her job well. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Grace Hospital and Riverview who provided compassionate care to Betty, and her family through this difficult time. Funeral mass will be said at St. John Brebeuf Church on Tuesday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception. Interment will be in Dauphin at a later date.

  • I knew Betty as a young girl in Dauphin. Don Dear Edith, Margaret, Cameron and family please accept our condolences. It is a tragic loss and we share your sorrow. You are in our prayers. - Posted by: Donald Osborne (Extended family) on: Jun 08, 2012

  • I will miss you very much. You were always a great listener and allowed me to express myself without judgement. I loved your sense of humour and your great wisdom of life. Although, there will be a huge emptiness, without you, I know you are safe in the palm of God's hands. Dance and laugh with your children, parents and partner Leo. You are now at peace. Love Terri - Posted by: Terri Tucker (niece) on: Jun 07, 2012

  • Each day I will continue to appreciate the many memmories that we shared together as family, and just the two of us. • I hope she did not suffer too long. She originally rented the suite I now occupy. She really seemed dedicated to her career as a nurse. - Posted by: Joyce Gibson (Neighbor at 870 Cambridge) on: Jun 04, 2012
