BEVERLY JOAN KOWALCHUK August 4, 1956 - June 1, 2012 Peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Bev passed away at the age of 55 years. Bev is survived by her sister Karen (Chris Czuma) and her aunt Eileen from Akron, Ohio, as well as a number of cousins in Winnipeg, Eastern Canada and the United States. She also leaves behind Dancer, Dasher and Scooby. Bev was predeceased by her mother Pauline in 1999, and her father Joseph in 2004. The best way to describe Bev is to say that "Bev was Bev." Those who knew anything about her know exactly what this means. She had a Heart of Gold when it came to rescuing abandoned and sick cats, often exceeding the City By-Laws and what was manageable by any one person. That was Bev. The family would like to thank Lisa for her patience, as well as the St. Joseph's Outreach Program, Shirley, Adele, Ross and Patty for their help and support. Thank you to Father Frank for his visits at the hospital. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Beverly's memory to one of the no kill shelters in Winnipeg. I promised my sister the day before she died that she didn't need to be afraid as her crew that had predeceased her would be waiting so they could together, cross the Rainbow Bridge to Heaven. They would take care of her. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster with Father Frank Szadiak, CSsR officiating. Her heart knew no bounds for animals - what a gift she was! Our condolences to the family. Patty and Ross Eadie - Posted by: Ross & Patty Eadie () on: Jun 07, 2012

  • My condolences go out to Bev's family. I knew Bev from the West Kildonan Legion Branch #30. I will always remember the good conversations I had with her and all of the laughs. She was a special person to me. I will miss cooking her mozza sticks. Rest in peace Bev. - Posted by: Kathy Taylor (Friend) on: Jun 07, 2012
