JACK (JOHN) HENRY TAMAN February 18, 1937 - June 3, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jack Taman, surrounded by family and love, at the Beausejour Hospital on Sunday, June 3, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by father Charles, mother Nora (Body) (Taman) MacGregor, and stepfather Bert MacGregor; siblings William, Gordon, Eileen, brother-in-law Ernest Kull, sister-in-law Irene, and daughter-in-law Crystal. Jack is survived by his loving family: wife Verna; son Richard; son Randy (Carol) and children, Justin, Calvin, and Destiny (Jamison); son Rennie (Melinda) and children, Dustin (Melissa), Lyndon (Amanda) and grandchildren, Mekyla, Dylan, Lynzie, and Ty; son Robert (Laurie) and children, Tara, Kristin (Ryan), Jordan (Candace) and grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Jett, and Jaxyn; daughter Angeleen (Cardell) Musyj and children, Braden, and Tanner; son Reggie (Karen). Jack is survived by his brothers Donald (Pat), Robert (Betty), Raymond, as well as sister-in-law Marg, and many nieces and nephews. Jack was born in Asquith, Saskatchewan and his life led him to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he met his sunshine Verna Yestrau. They were married on June 9, 1956. Their marital journey lasted 55 years and produced a loving family of six children, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A very special, heartfelt thank you to the staff at Beausejour Hospital for the excellent care, comfort, and support they provided Jack and his family. A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., at the Oakbank Baptist Church, 26033 Springfield Rd., Oakbank, MB, with a private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Program at the Beausejour Hospital - Beausejour Hospital District No. 29, Box 1178, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.   • Aunt Verna, Rick, Randy, Rennie, Robbie, Reggie and Angie, and families, Please accept our deepest condolences. Uncle Jack will be missed greatly by all of you and those who knew him. He was a good man who loved his family above all else. Some of my memories include; the TAMAN games (good times), family weddings, coffee around the table at the house, he was a great storyteller, had a wicked sense of humor, he had a smile that would light up a room, so proud of his children and grandchildren.   • I have many great memories of Uncle Jack. From the caboose in his yard, to the country hoe downs. Stealing sips of drinks and smoking as a young teenager and him catching me. Also he caught me riding a small motorbike that should not have been driven by ANYBODY as it might have ignited into flames.
