BERNICE (BUNNY) SKYLER (nee NAFOSTOVICZ) The family and friends of Bernice Skyler are sad to announce her passing on June 4, 2012. Bernice passed away at Grace Hospice after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Peter Skyler, her daughter Christine, son-in-law Bruce and grandchildren Robin, Peter and Paul. Her parents and three sisters Mary, Milly and Tina immigrated to Canada from Tarnopol, Ukraine and Bernice was then born in Winnipeg, July 6, 1928. Bernice worked many interesting jobs throughout her working career. She retired from the City of Winnipeg, Parks and Recreation department. Over the years, Bernice and Peter enjoyed their many trips to Las Vegas and she also enjoyed cooking dinner for the family. She had her special pets, especially loved her cat Ginger. Bernice was very proud of her grand-children, they brought her joy and happiness and in turn she instilled a confidence in them. She will be sadly missed.
