  • Cicelyn touched so many people's lives and I know we have all been enriched by her grace. She was an example for all of us to follow the way she embraced life. At this time of sorrow may these truths sustain you. Cicelyn will always be as close as a memory and the God of comfort will always be as close as a prayer. • Am sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. B, the world has become less gracious because of your departure to your true home in heaven! I remember fondly the times spent with your kids and the youth group from the church at your house...many times, much later than we should have in retrospect. You were the ultimate example of grace and peace to me, and that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. My prayers are with the family left to mourn the loss of a great wife and mother...Mr. B, Ron, Richard, and Roberta - I wish circumstance would allow me to be there on Saturday. Love you all....Kevin - Posted by: Kevin Anderson (Friend) on: Jun 15, 2012

  • My Auntie Cicelyn shall be remembered with warmth for her quiet strength and her encouraging and impacting words. Although the times I was able to spend with my aunt were distanced, upon our parting, I always left with an intangible gift: the knowledge that I was loved, a confirmation that I was doing well raising my young children, and other affirmations that tend to be unspoken when one's own parents have passed away. As generous as Auntie Cicelyn was with her words, she was also with her resources. After my mother, her sister Wilma, had gone to Heaven, Auntie Cicelyn started a birthday tradition: she would honor each of her great-niece and great-nephews' birthdays with a card, which was always on time, and would enclose a birthday cheque for the child, which corresponded with his or her age. This guesture of love and remembrance was extremely significant, especially to my young boys who had loved their own grandmother, and to whom at six years old, six dollars was a very large sum of money! I felt very proud to have read, in Auntie's obituary, of her extensive involvement in her community and of her passionate work with children. She was a woman whose actions were consistent with what she believed to be true and right, and our lives are enriched by having been touched by her precious life. I love you, Uncle Bob, and I pray that God's grace and the love of His people, will keep you at this time. My love also to cousins - Richard (and Karleen), Ronald (and Anna Marie) and Roberta, and also to your children, who will acutely feel this loss. God bless you all. Love, Leslie - Posted by: Leslie Whervin (Niece) on: Jun 14, 2012
