MICHAEL KUTZY As the sun rose over Moosehorn, Mike passed peacefully at home, Tuesday, June 19, 2012, with loving family and friends in his heart. Born October 15, 1928, in Spearhill, MB, Mike's life was full of love and laughter. His families meant the world to him. He married Vera Tomaschuk of Meacham, SK, and together they raised five children. Later he was blessed with Mildred and family. Grandpa/ Papa was the #1 Fan of his grandkids and had the gift of making us all feel special. He leaves to treasure his memory Best Friend' Mildred; the Bauch and Kutzy families; his children Cheryl (Lynn), Doreen (Craig), Velvet (Tom), Cindy (Rodney) and Darcy (Lisa); grandchildren Kevin, Lindsey, Dalan, Jan, Steven, Owen, Karsten, Regen, Lachlan, Sterling, Tegan, Corbin, Chanel, Braxton, Keenan and Petra; his sister Doris Klem; godson Michael Price along with nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Mike is predeceased by his wife Vera and son Mitchell. Mike loved hockey and baseball. People called him a local legend. Forever a cowboy, he and sidekick Peppy kept his horses in line. He enjoyed farming and adventures in the great outdoors. Mike was always there to lend a helping hand and we are thankful for the many that reached back. Dad was a great inspiration, loyal and trustworthy advisor. His wit, wisdom and strength had a profound effect on those whose lives he touched. As we continue our journey 'You Betcha' we will 'Savour the Moments' and 'Keep the Home Fires Burning.' A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the Moosehorn Community Hall with Pastor Erwin Tippel officiating. Interment to follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
