Theo was predeceased by his grandson Stephen and his brother Piet. Theo was born on December 4, 1929 in Alkmaar, the Netherlands to Johannes Knook and Clasina Kramer. He was the eldest of eight children. In the summer of 1954 Theo followed his dreams and emigrated to Canada where he met up with his cousin Henk Jonk and his good friend John DeKock. Theo got this first farming experience in St. Alphonse, Manitoba with Firmin Delichte. He met his little French sweetheart, Annette Beaupre, of Dunrea, Manitoba and they married October 4, 1957.
