Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Sometimes people are taken from us and we don't know why Sometimes people leave us and they don't say Good Bye Sometimes there are no second chances to say "I Love You" Sometimes there are no "See You Next Time" Sometimes we lose someone and feel like your heart has followed them to Heaven Sometimes there is nothing you can do to make the tears stop Uncle Frank, you are so very special to us You have given us laughter, joy and Love And it will be our memories that will give us strength Our Love and Prayers are with your children during this difficult time. - Posted by: Brenda Fraser (Niece) on: Jul 10, 2012

  • Our deepest sympathies to the Gadway family. Mr. Gadway, you will be dearly missed at Granite Lake. You are one of the strong pillars that keep everyone together, and the pancake breakfast or sitting around the wood pile, won't be the same without you. - Posted by: Cheryl Franz (Granite Lake neighbor) on: Jul 10, 2012

  • I always enjoyed Frank's company when staying at Keith's cottage for a weekend. He was kind, honest and thoughtful (I could go on). Thank you Frank, it was an honour to have known you. - Posted by: Neil Woolston - aka Woolly Bully (friend) on: Jul 09, 2012

  • Frank and Gladys were very close freinds to my parents Jim & Eddy. They were always getting together or doing things together at each other's home. When my parents had me in the USA (when Salisbury House had store down there). Dad came back to Canada early at Salisbury House shortly after I was born. When my Mom and Nana were coming back to Canada; customs office held the bus up at the border. They thought Mom was pulling a fast one. So, Mom called - Dad didn't drive so Frank drove Dad down to Customs office to straighten things out. They always play cards together; now they can have game of cards again. My heart is with all of Frank's family. - Posted by: KATHY (KOLOTYLO) HOOPER (FREIND) on: Jul 08, 2012

  • Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Gadway and our condolences to the family. We have known Mr. Gadway for most of our lives as teenagers and on to adulthood. Always seen fishing on Granite Lake from our cottage with a friendly hello as he passed by our dock. - Posted by: Peter & Cathy Schneider (Family Friends) on: Jul 07, 2012

  • A kind gentle soul. That what my Uncle Frank was. Some of my fondest memories were when we were growing up were the gatherings at Gran's at Christmas. After all the the gift opening the great trukey dinners you could always find Uncle Frank on one couch and dad on the other snoozing or should I say snoring. Card playing almost every weekend. Either at our house or their house. They talked about different topics and we listened even if we weren't supposed to. The trips to Sals to share flapper pie and nips. Uncle Frank had a heart of gold. Family meant everything to him. He was a rock. I felt so honored that he was the MC at our wedding. Growing up in a family that loved life, celebrated joyous moments. As well as embraced sad times. Family always came first. I am so glad that I had the chance to have this wonderfull man in my life. At Uncle Frank's leavig this world there is going to be a big whole left here in our hearts. But fond memories will fill the void you left. I will miss you . I love you Uncle Frank. - Posted by: Shelley (niece) on: Jul 07, 2012
