Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRADEN COLE BJORNSON February 11, 1992 - July 6, 2012 With broken hearts we announce the tragic passing of Braden Bjornson on July 6, 2012, at the Health Sciences Centre, with his Mom and Dad at his side. Braden will be forever missed by his Dad and Mom Bradley and Jacquie Bjornson, big sisters Kaitlyn (Blaine), Shawnee (Trent, Riley, Hope), little sister Taylor, his girlfriend Danielle Dunkley, and his dog Bruno. He will also be missed by his Gramma Phyllis (Dave), Afi Siggi (Monica), Aunty Tracey (Uncle Brent), Uncle Jeff, Aunty Debra (Uncle Bill), Aunty Lorraine, Great-Uncle Al, and numerous cousins. Braden also had many friends, mostly in Arborg and Fisher Branch, and co-workers who will also miss him. Braden was predeceased by his Afi Wally, Baba Mary, and little cousin Aubrey. Braden was born on February 11, 1992 at the Arborg hospital. Growing up Braden enjoyed many athletic sports including soccer, track, and hockey being his favourite. Any free time he could find was spent outdoors with his Dad. Some of his favourite things to do were hunting, fishing, and trapping. Braden enjoyed many entertaining quadding and snowmobile rides with his friends, followed by hours with the pressure washer. Every year he looked forward to all hunting seasons. There were many early mornings heading out to a goose field or favourite deer hunting area with his Dad, Afi, Cameron, and Brian. Some of the best excursions were multiday adventures staying in the caboose where the group enjoyed cribbage, laughter, and companionship. Braden was a hard and ambitious worker starting at the age of 14. He started working summers at the Stansell Mink Ranch, which he loved and always came home with stories to tell his family. He continued with this summer job until he moved to Winnipeg to university. Even during university he spent some weekends feeding the mink. After a year at the University of Manitoba in agricultural studies Braden found a more active and outdoor career path. Carpentry was his choice, where he was hired on with Westland Construction, which he truly enjoyed. Working in construction, there are sometimes strenuous jobs, which Braden did without a complaint that got him the name that tough country boy . Now with a fulltime job Braden became more independent and purchased his own home. There were many special evenings and weekends spent at home with the family. His mother took pride in spoiling her little boy, making his lunches every day until he moved out of home and continued by sending care packages back with him to Winnipeg. Braden was very close with his three sisters, each in a different and special way. They were all loved and were always helped and protected in anyway. Seven months ago, a special girl came into Braden's life. Danielle and Braden quickly became very close. Braden soon brought Danielle home to meet the family and get the approval of his protective sisters. With a quick approval, she was welcomed into our family and always will be. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arborg Community Hall, with refreshments to follow. With Braden having so many close friends, we would like to consider all of them his honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank the staff from the SICU unit at the Health Sciences Centre for their special care. The staff at Health Sciences Centre was truly caring and supportive in this difficult time. A big thanks to the family, friends and neighbours for their help and ongoing support. Braden, you have left a huge impact on our lives and in our heart. You will always be missed and never be forgotten. You always lived your life to the fullest! We love you, Braden. I will always remember Braden as the little boy who spent many childhood hours at our place playing with Evan. He was always quiet and polite, and I can still picture his mischievous grin, that soft chuckle, and the twinkle in his eye. You will be missed, Braden. - Posted by: Wanda Sparkes (Family friend) on: Jul 10, 2012
