I still often think of Norm. I knew him from the Golds gym days and later running into him on the bus ride home from work or seeing him downtown.. He will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Chris Macht (Friend) on: Oct 03, 2020

I miss Norm, he was always filled with optimism depite his crippling schizophrenia. Many times he was sicker than me when I had the lowest time in my life when I myself was misdiagnosed as a schizophrenic but Norm talked excited about his dreams to contend again in bodybuilding and also would offer to train me for free. I spent many nights with him all night in Salisbury house restaurant. I attribute part of my recovery to Norm as he seemed to inspire me. I have since moved away from the Peg but Norm is on my mind a lot especially to how he was found with so many questions that don't add up. He was a pussycat with a lions roar and strength. He was like the brother I wished I had. I am blessed to have known him. - Posted by: Dale Keller (Coffeehouse Buddy) on: Jul 05, 2016

I'm so sorry to hear of Norm's passing. My condolences to his family. I will miss him coming into Legends. We worked together at Major & Minor Music on Marion when we were in our 20s (now in our mid 40s and 50s). Norm always loved to talk about those years when he taught guitar lessons there and I was the administrator. He often talked about playing the guitar again. I did get a chance to meet his lovely daughter and very handsome son, not too long before he passed. He was so proud to show them off, you could just tell. I will miss you Norm. God bless and I hope you are at peace now. - Posted by: Kim Caputi () on: Jul 27, 2012

My fondest memories of Norman was his rock solid, muscular body and parties with my good, long time buddies Brenda and Sherilyn. We had some great times together at the Carlson household and lots of laughs. I was always very fond of Norman and I am deeply saddened to hear about your loss. Rest in peace Norman.
