Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD LAZAR July 9, 1932 - July 9, 2012 Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Lloyd passed away on his 80th birthday at the Misericordia Hospital. Lloyd is lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Dawn, his children Dave (Carol), Cheryl (Phil) Cann, Heather (Dan) Gerardy, James (Karin), his grandchildren Ryan (Christin), Braden (Courtney), Scott, Stacey, Riley, Sarah, Trevor, Nathan, Christina and Megan, his sister Hilda and brother Ed, sister-in-law Grace, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lloyd grew up in the Birds Hill area where he formed many lasting relationships. He found his passion for teaching early on and made this his life-long commitment. Lloyd always enjoyed spending time outdoors and enjoyed an active lifestyle despite health challenges. Lloyd's dedication was first and foremost to his family. The family would like to express their gratitude to the patient and caring staff at Misericordia Hospital. In respecting Lloyd's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. So sad to hear of Lloyd's passing. Sincere condolences to all of you. I have fond memories of Lloyd laughing and joking while pouring more wine at your family dinner table.....he was lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful family.
