Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE JAMES MIDDLETON Peacefully, with family by his side, Les passed away at the Grace Hospital on Sunday, July 8, 2012, after a brief illness, at the age of 83 years. Les will be lovingly and forever remembered by his cherished wife, Anne, of 55 years of marriage; daughter Gail; son Keith; as well as Anne's many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and an infant brother. Les was employed by the City of Winnipeg Fire Department for over 40 years, retiring in 1990 as Assistant Deputy Chief. He enjoyed his long career and most of all the camaraderie and friendship of his colleagues. Les and the family happily spent their summers at their cabin Stonehaven in Matlock. Family and friends were always welcome and many fond memories were created, especially with Doreen, Bill and the girls. He was a master of the BBQ and feasts were held all summer with always room for one more. Travelling was enjoyed with Anne and the family. Les drove across Canada from Vancouver to the Maritimes and enjoyed several Caribbean cruises as well as trips to Florida and Hawaii. A private Family Service has taken place. Our family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital and the Winnipeg Fire Department for their care and compassion and a special thank you to Nadine, Frank and Rhonda for all their love and support during this time. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Leslie's memory may be made to the Fire Fighter Burn Fund, 303 - 83 Garry Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9 or the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
